About Me
Thanks for visiting! I’m a mom who is passionate about making flavorful, plant-based foods that people can…well…eat together. These recipes draw from cultures around the world to create plant-based, gluten-free and allium-free (no onions or garlic) recipes for all eaters from all backgrounds. 🙂
Many of these recipes are also yeast free, soy free, nut free, corn free, low FODMAP, and/or oil-free as well. This resulting archive can serve as a potential resource for people with allergies, intolerances, gut issues and for those whose diet is aligned with the beliefs of Jainism, Swaminarayan, and others.
In my family, our list of trigger ingredients spans gluten, dairy, soy, alliums (onions & garlic), corn, nightshades and Baker’s yeast (…and chickpeas…and nuts). And, even if I did have the time and energy to make separate meals for each one of us all the time, I’m not convinced it would be the best idea. Let’s face it, people have an emotional connection to food. Food brings people together and there are few bonds stronger than those formed savoring and enjoying the same flavors together.
So whether you are accommodating a food allergy, are in the mood for something new or are changing your diet lifestyle, I hope you find something here that suits your needs.
Wishing you all the best on your culinary journey!! If you have any questions, comments or fun stories to share, I’d love to hear from you!
*Although none of my recipes directly include soy, certain ingredients like xanthan gum may be derived from soy.
